I wonder when HR people will finally understand how bad the user experience is at Monster. I understand how HR people continue to use recruiting sources like the daily newspaper, Monster and even CareerBuilder mostly out of habit and sheer size. I guess they hope that management will cut them some slack for using the biggest players in the industry. “They are the big guys so they must do the job,” is the reasoning I suppose.

Some companies and organizations get punished for poor performance. People move their business elsewhere every day. Some companies with unethical management even get punished by customers. So far, Monster seems to have dodged that bullet even though their Founder and Chairman had to resign in disgrace recently in a backdating option scam.

Have you seen the TV ad for that toenail fungus medication? The one where a hideous creature is hiding under gross toenails hoping that the person does not use the anti fungel cream….remember that one? The creature looks just like Monster’s monster — which is apropos.
