Rita Moreno asked the following about Britney Spears and Paris Hilton: “Whatever happened to elegance?†I answer Ms. Moreno with another question: “What happened to self-respect and respect for the law? The headlines for a number of weeks have been about Paris going to jail for a DUI. Here’s my take on this situation. People who insist on drinking while driving are simply an accident or fatality waiting to happen. The day Paris Hilton went to jail was indeed great news to people everywhere who respect the law, who respect others, and who live their lives responsibly. Why? If Paris Hilton can go to jail for breaking the law—ANYBODY CAN!
Some of us rember Rita Moreno from back in the day, when she tried to kill herself over Marlon Brando.
People need to look at their own lives before they try to selfrighteously judge others.
