Hey Will !
Ever hear the old saying "misery loves company" ? Wow as I read about the hits in your recent blog I thought I was reading my diary !!
It's also been a 3 year nightmare for me and my wife with a couple failed initiatives, A LOT of rejection and seemingly no end to the "hits". In my case I'm dealing with being a 58 year old (55 when the company decided to dump me after 20 years) with a background that spans parts clerk to regional sales manager. A lot of experience in a lot of areas and nowhere to use any of it.
I no longer aspire to management ( I wouldn't be able to stomach the corporate environment of 2007) but I thought there might be something between that and check out boy at the local market. Guess not.
You don't have to read betwen the lines to hear the frustration huh? I don't know if I can take another rejection letter telling me that another candidate more closely fits the position and that my resume will be kept on file - BULL____ !!!
Keep writing and know that as much as misery loves company, it also loves HOPE.
