Often, we need others to push us toward our [tag]goals[/tag]. Even if it’s a ‘Hey, how are you doing with that winning the lottery thing?’ comment…sharing your goals with family and[tag] friends[/tag] is an important step toward reaching them.
I have found that people seem to love to hear other’s big hairy goals even more. How do you know when you have a big hairy goal? If you tell someone and they laugh, then the goal is big enough. What is your big hairy goal?
Remember my unspoken goal of catching for the [tag]Yankees[/tag]? One of my [tag]high school[/tag] best friends, who now lives in [tag]California[/tag]!!!, was thoughtful enough to send me a simple note about it. It must be big enough….thanks Conrad!

Hey, GL, this is a good one! It’s true that sharing your goals make them more “real” somehow. Especially telling someone who is something of an encourager in your life. Now you’ve got a person thinking about them, even when you’re not!
Besides, you may want something hilarious to laugh about over coffee. My own favorite “out there” goal: be a “spaceman”. Who knows, maybe one day?
After seeing that getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is all about the money, I now have a new ‘out there’ goal.
