You tell people to use proper grammar, but you misspelled grammar. Your entire post loses credibility with one sentence.

I agree with Matt. I have several people I work with who are very likeable but completely incompetent when it comes to doing their jobs.

Placing importance on being "likable" in the workplace is a fad. People will at some point start to realize that there are a lot of "likable" people around them who a good at just that and nothing else.

I am posting like Acey - I am told I am very stand-offish & always try to still problems at work. I am a web developer and programmer (senior webmaster and only one at work) running 10 sites for 500 employees plus all online marketing. I haven't had a raise in 3 years, why should I even care about my job anymore. My wife who didn't go to college and was in her field half as much time as me is now making more money than me.

How can I be positive to this at work? I also answer to 4 bosses all with different ideas.

It is insane and hard to be positive in the situation!!

[...] Same idea with the bigger question of DO I LIKE THIS CANDIDATE? But, even this is in the control of the candidate. I am not suggesting undertaking a personality transplant, but I am suggesting that you think a bit about how to come across in a more likeable manner during the interview. Here is one of my posts on making yourself MORE LIKEABLE.
