Be aware of friendships and business relationships when launching a new venture. As business circumstances evolve, friendships can be strained if issues are handled in a ham-handed fashion. Make sure that the boundaries of both relationships and their potential overlap is as well-defined and understood as possible. Then show respect as circumstances change, because money decisions can be emotional.
