If you are not out being crazy tomorrow night, chances are you are renting a movie or two. And most of the time, the best movies are already rented by people who plan their weekends around movie rental availability, the losers. No need to fret and no need to rent [tag]Shrek 2[/tag] again.
Here are three recommendations of G-rated movies with feel-good messages that the entire family can enjoy, and learn from.
The first is an old war movie which happens to be one of the best leadership movies ever made: [tag]Twelve O’Clock High[/tag] with [tag]Gregory Peck[/tag]. The next one is [tag]Ayn Rand[/tag]‘s [tag]The Fountainhead[/tag], with [tag]Gary Cooper[/tag]. Watching these two movies is like listening to a lockerroom speech by [tag]Lou Holtz[/tag]–you’re motivated, you’re pumped up and you’re not sure why.
The last movie is [tag]Stuck on You[/tag], with [tag]Matt Damon[/tag] and [tag]Greg Kinnear[/tag]. Sure it is silly, but it is all good fun and you get to watch [tag]Cher[/tag] act like she did on the old [tag]Sonny and Cher[/tag] TV Show. Favorite Sonny Bono joke: Did you hear about the weather forecast for Tahoe Ski Resort this weekend? Cloudy, and Sunny around one tree.
Have fun at the movies.
