We are a nation of big and fast thinkers who have done amazing things with meager resources and little help.
When so many companies are now playing defense, and re-trenching or re-structuring, I am betting that there are some who are not. They are looking for new things, new ways to attract or keep customers and even establish new markets. In new, innovative ways. Sure it helps to have extra resources (money) to do these things aggressively, but money is not the only requirement. It takes ideas and the guts to give it a try. Especially when everyone is saying “DON’T—WAIT.”
I know it is tough out there, everywhere perhaps. CEO’s are listening to CFO’s, investors and shareholders more than ever today. But you can’t save your way through this, or get to financial heaven by being all safe and negative. You weren’t hired to hide your ideas, dreams and aggressiveness under a bushel basket.
Pass it on.

Bravo!
I’ve never seen you with a big cigar…but I can easily imagine it! Playing poker.
Seriously, though, I think you are exactly right.
Conrad…I did have a fast car and wanted more, faster, and better.
The white corvette? Mean machine and fast indeed!
The good part is that you haven’t lost that hunger for adventure. It’s infectious.
Ellen Weber has a piece over on her blog today that fits hand and glove with this entry.
