Late yesterday, in a court filing in Manhattan, the list of several thousand clients who lost money with Bernard Madoff was made public for the first time.
For the people on the list….like Sandy Koufax or Kevin Bacon….this episode was a tragic lesson. For Sandy, he can sign a few more baseballs and live in the manner to which he has been accustomed. Kevin, the 6-degrees man, only has to make a few more movies and he will be ok. Worse, are those individuals who invested entire retirement accounts and are either too old or too separated to start over. There is some pain in this list.
Still, it does make fascinating reading, digging out those people in your hometown who “made” the list. Any stories come to mind you would like to share?

Not that I’ll cry for Kevin Bacon but he’s not the box office draw that he once was. Kevin hadn’t been all that busy in recent years so I expect you’ll see Kevin in trying to work some god awful scripts in the near future. Beggars cannot be choosers in Hollywood.
