I have been a magic fan ever since my Uncle Curly bent my mother’s dinner fork, and then straightened it out again. And I admit I still don’t know how he was able to make his finger go in his ear, through his head, and then bump out his opposite cheek.
So, when my friend Nick Gogerty posted a card trick on his blog…with a video explanation of how it was done….I was all over it. I didn’t figure it out until I watched the entire video. But then, someone had to explain “The Sting” to me after the show was over and I still don’t know who Keyser Soze is.

You have gone and destroyed my innocence!
What is even sadder, Rummy, is that I did not notice even one of the changes before the ‘truth” was revealed. I have to be more observant, I am thinking…
I love this video, at first I did not notice anything, I was even intriged by the trick and really was looking forward to learn the trick. And the trick is actually to paying attention. But as a wise family member once told me, smart people do not focus on unimportant stuff, but store in mind the important and useful stuff. That might be a good excuse..
So if you do not see the changes, you’re smart!
