Autos Cash For Clunkers

I admit that I don’t know the economics very well of the cash for clunkers program. I get how it helps folks who have old cars that they want to move out of the side yard, and certainly the car dealers are liking the program. Trash haulers, too.

But it did make me want to suggest some other areas where a cash for clunkers program might make some sense. I put some more ideas up over at FastCompany.

LaceUp shoes, socks with holes, any lawn tool with a motor, clocks with faces, cufflinks, old zambonis, old websites, billboards (have you seen how many empty ones there are?), most magazines, daily newspapers, Monster.com (LinkUp is the best new job search engine)…yikes, the list just goes on and on.

And, each one can be “justified”…add your own.
