I am back from Colorado, but just for a bit.

I know what’s happening and I think you do too. You have been bamboozled and you are too busy in your own miserable lives to recognize it.

Maybe you simply want others to make decisions for you. I saw this coming years ago, remember? My friends and me, we got fed up, just shrugged and moved on to a place where no one could bother us. Life is good.

Truth. I have mellowed a bit over the years. I won’t be giving those long speeches any more. My hips hurt from all the hiking and I have never quite got the hang of this computer.

I did want to share one story. I have a nephew, he’s in great health, never been sick a day in his life. I am proud of him, he is in the second year of starting up his very own company. He does accounting work for small businesses. Someone has to do it, right?

At any rate, he wrote me to say he wanted to expand, wanted to buy some new software and a new laptop. His choice was health coverage for $5,000 for the year or this new expansion.

Left to him, he would go for the expansion because he knows that is what is best for him, given where he is, how he works, his current health situation and all those things that only he knows about.
I am older, left irrelevant by years of confusion and ignorance. But I still find it to be morally wrong for someone to forcibly taking the output of my nephew’s little business to serve someone else.
