Chances are good that your organization has a Sales Prevention Department, in addition to a Sales Department. Too many rules, too many discounts available for certain kinds of customers, or all sorts of hoops and barrier for sales people and customers to jump through and over before they buy. If this Sales Prevention unit has more power than the actual sales department…expect someone in sales to call “BS!!” loudly and clearly.
And, if no one else has the nerve, power or stones to do it…you be the one. Talk about a way to build your reputation, cough, personal brand, cough…this is the way. This problem can be fixed and needs to be fixed.
