Every once in a great while, I re-visit the back story for this blog.  ”Frequently wrong, never in doubt” –now tell me that does not describe your dad.  Heck I don’t even know him.  Yet I know.

But still, chances are, if you are like me, you noticed that your  dad seemed to get smarter as YOU got older.  In my own case, I was shocked at how much smarter my dad got after I hit about 25.  I am still hoping my own kids return the favor, I am still in the eye-rolling phase of our relationship.  But I do deserve it. Proud of it, in fact, cuz nearly everyone knows a dad’s prime reason for being is to just simply flat out embarrass the kids.  I am really good at it.

All us dads have a notebook we carry with us. It contains phrases and sayings we like to throw out there, sometimes for advice, other times just to hear ourselves talk.  I wasn’t supposed to tell you about this notebook…dad code and all…but there it is.

Page 217 of my own notebook has this gem:  Walk Fast and Look Worried.

If my kids ever ask me for the leadership secret, I am prepared.
